Google App:Angry Birds finally comes to Web via Chrome

Angry Birds finally comes to Web via Chrome:

Today’s Google’s I/O keynote focused on Chrome. We learned that a year ago today there were 70 million Chrome users, and since then, the number has more than doubled with 160 million Chrome users. There may be even more now with the news that everyone’s favorite Pig/Bird game, Angry Birds, will now be available on the web via the Chrome Web Store.

Rovio Mobile CEO Peter Vesterbacka, came on the stage wearing a red Angry Birds sweatshirt to announce the news. The newest version of the game will be available on the Chrome browser and will feature exclusive levels available only on Chrome.
It can also be downloaded locally to your hard drive so you don’t even need to be connected to the web to play the game. Like Google did with its new movie rental feature, announced yesterday, you can now play Angry Birds while you’re traveling on a plane.
Angry Birds on Chrome will use Chrome graphics, such as Chrome buttons as rocks, Chrome logo clouds and flowers, Google colors,  and even “Chrome bombs.” The new version will also allow in-app payments so that Angry Birds players can actually buy the coveted “Mighty Eagle.” If you’re unfamiliar with the Mighty Eagle, it’s a special bird that you can buy that will skip you past that level you just can’t beat. The Mighty Eagle was only available for iOS until now.
Angry Birds for Chrome will be available today, but Vesterbacka said to try after 11 a.m. PST. Now that anyone with Chrome can download the game, will companies start blocking Chrome due to employees obsessively playing Angry Birds during work?
